Responsibilities
- Ensure that the companies repair and planned maintenance policies for operations and dry-docking are effectively implemented across the fleet and in compliance with local and international maritime industry rules and regulations.
- Ensure the fleet’s compliance to regulatory requirements/legislation and keep updated on any changes to requirements.
- Responsible for effective management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Technical department.
- Overall supervision of running repairs/services, spare parts, vessel’s stores and lubricant supply.
- Responsible for safe use of machinery and equipment and monitoring the operating performance and the current condition of vessels.
- Investigate the causes of accidents, mechanical failures and down-time as required, for implementing corrective actions.
- Drive and implement the company energy efficiency and digital transformation initiatives across the fleet.
- Attend vessels in port, anchorage or shipyards when required, ensuring ship condition, crew competency and safe work practices/operations in accordance with the company’s safety management system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
