Responsibilities
- Design and development work according to customers and internal specifications.
- Act as project lead to plan, organize and co-ordinate their respective project’s meetings to review design and ensure projects are kept to schedule
- Conceptualize the assembly process either in semi-auto, fully automatic machines or fixtures for new products with both quality and cost considerations.
- Study existing processes information related to assigned product to acquire the knowledge. Implement design reviews, DFM, lesson learn and FMEA to minimize potential failures. It comprises Process, QA and Product Design to gather all cross-functional feedback.
- Undertake pre-production improvement of new products with production and ensure that it conforms to quality requirements; assembly processes are established and capacity are sufficient for initial production.
- Continuously upgrade technical competency to meet changes in job requirements and new challenges.
- Share relevant knowledge and new ideas to solve manufacturing problems or needs.
- All activities & development must comply with laws & regulations and meet all safety & standard requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Precision Engineering, Automation or Connector manufacturing is a plus.
- Possess a Class 3 License.
