Responsibilities
- Execute shipments by closely monitoring logistics processes and interpreting contract terms to meet customer requirements and ensure timely appropriations against sales.
- Review documentary letters of credit, track issuance, and initiate necessary amendments to ensure compliance with trade terms and conditions.
- Manage letter of credit negotiation, import/export document handling, and laytime computation to facilitate seamless trading operations.
- Handle all shipment-related expenses, as well as manage client receivables and payables, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Acknowledge and/or send vessel nominations, issuing vessel load orders to facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo.
- Prepare and arrange export documentation required for shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and trade requirements.
- Monitor vessel schedules for upcoming shipments of bulk commodities and container vessels, making necessary arrangements for timely loading and unloading.
- Collaborate with shipping agents, surveyors, and suppliers to address and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipment execution process.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with documentary letters of credit, import/export regulations, and shipping documentation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
