Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures, including those related to anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and data protection.
- Conduct AML/CFT reviews for document submission of new and existing clients, including screening against watch lists using in-house system & other online search facilities and verification of clients’ KYC documents.
- Prepare and submit BSC reports to MAS in a timely manner, documenting relevant requirements stipulated in the BSC framework.
- Conduct investigation on complaints (including PDPA breaches) and sales compliance issues in a thorough and fair manner. Compile investigation reports and take appropriate follow-up actions.
- Develop, maintain, and review internal policies and procedures to streamline processes to improve work efficiency.
- Conduct training to business units and representatives on Compliance related matters.
- Review marketing materials and advertisements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities to ensure that the firm is adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree/Diploma in relevant fields or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- knowledge of the Financial Advisers Act, the Securities and Futures Act, the Personal Data Protection Act and AML/CFT financial crime-related regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
