QUALITY ENGINEER ($3800-$4500/AWS/VB)ref: KH

$4500 + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location: North

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the Quality Manager and site Plant Manager to maintain requirements for the Quality Management System.
• Team member for the Process Change Control Board (Externally – Customers & Suppliers, Internally) and works with originators of process changes to ensure adherence to the SOP.
• Maintains the Nonconforming Material Process and develops actions to reduce nonconformances through Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
• Provides support for the Quality Management System which includes Document Control, Calibration, Corrective & Preventative Actions, Complaints, etc.
• Perform periodic internal audits of the quality management system.
• Develops standard operating procedures for all processes related to the Quality Management System.
• Establish raw material and product acceptance criteria. Works with Suppliers on discrepant material issues and Supplier Requests for Change.
• Standardize the calibration of inspection and test equipment. Maintains calibration database and ensures on-time performance of scheduled calibration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/Metallurgy/ material science/ chemistry /or chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in quality assurance/Quality control is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
