Location: Central
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute shipments from the company to customers in diverse locations, including placing bookings, coordination and monitoring whilst minimising freight cost, optimising working capital and meeting commercial requirements
- Provide timely notification to all relevant parties on bookings and coordinate with stakeholders on subsequent changes
- Track shipping schedules, perform all required system related updates and resolve issues that may affect shipping, vessel slippage risk and deliveries to the customers
- Act as the primary escalation point of contact for all operational issues raised by both internal and external stakeholders
- Process freight payments and resolve any payment dispute with vendors timely
- Ensure completeness of accrual of freight cost at end month
- Develop and manage relationship with vendors such as shipping lines, 3PLs and internal stakeholders
- Investigate and handle claims relating to transportation and shipping
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
